We will learn about how to make auto irrigation system .
Required components :
Sr no. Item Quantity
1. Soil humidity sensor. 1
2. water pump (9v). 1
3. Relay module (9v). 1
4. 9v battery. 2
5. 7805 ic. 1
6. 10uf capacitor. 1
7. 100uf capacitor. 1
8. LED. 2
9. 1k ohm resistor. 2
10. 1way mini switch. 1
11. some wires
Circuit Diagram :
Pin connection :
1. Take 7805ic positive terminal of battery is connect with input terminal of ic and negative terminal of battery is connect with Ground ( GND ) terminal of ic .
2. LED and 10uf capacitor is connect across the positive and negative terminal of battery . And to prevent the led 330 ohm resistor connect in series with led.
3. Now one terminal taken from output of ic and other taken from Ground ( GND ) terminal of ic .
5. LED and 100uf capacitor is connect across output and Ground (GND) terminal of ic .And to prevent the led 330 ohm resistor connect in series with led.
6. Terminal taken out from output of ic is connect with positive terminal (+vcc ) of sensor and relay module. And terminal taken out from Ground (GND) of ic is connect with negative terminal (GND) of sensor and Relay module.
7. Digital output ( DO ) terminal of sensor is connect with Input ( In ) terminal of relay module .
8. Now positive terminal of battery B1 is connect with common (com) terminal of relay , negative terminal of battery B1 is connect with negative terminal of water pump and positive terminal of water pump is connect with normally closed (NC) terminal of relay module.
Working :
๐When we turn on the circuit. The 7805 IC will convert the ( 3.5v to 12v ) input voltage to 5 volts .
๐And this voltage given to the sensor and Relay module. So the sensor and relay modules will operate.
๐When we place the sensor in the soil, the sensor will absorb the soil and it will send a signal to the relay whether the soil is dry or wet.
๐ If soil is dry then the relay will turn on and water pump start then water come out from the pump. And the pump will automatically stop when the soil becomes wet.

๐ต Terminal of 7805ic ic:
As shown in above figure ic7805 is shown .
In this ic there are three terminals, first is input terminal which is on left side. In this terminal the positive terminal of supply connect.
The terminal on the right side is the output terminal, in this terminal positive terminal of output is connect.
And the middle terminal is known as ground terminal (GND). In this negative terminal of both input and output are connect.
